There are certain songs that always elicit an emotional response, and “Hallelujah” is one that never fails to give us chills whenever we hear it.
In a video uploaded to YouTube by a student named Spencer Logsdon, a high school chorus is warming up before a concert in the hallway of their school, when they start singing “Hallelujah.” Instantly everyone around them stops what they’re doing in order to listen to this beautiful song.
In spite of the fact that the group is gathered in a dingy high school hallway, we’re transfixed by the beauty of their voices and the sincerity of their performance.
These students attend Vestavia Hills High School in Vestavia Hills, Alabama. Even though there are fewer than twenty chorus members standing in a circle, when they lift their voices up in song, they sound like professional singers giving the performance of their lives.
All of the onlookers had to pull out their cameras to record this intense moment. One male student takes the lead on the song, but later a female soloist joins in and gives us absolute goosebumps!
What a fantastic group of talented singers! Watch the video below and don’t forget to share it with someone who loves this song!
