Lost Dog Saves Newborn Baby’s Life

Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked. – Psalm 82:3-4

There are countless stories of animals coming to the aid and rescue of humans. Dogs in particular seem to have a sixth sense of when someone is experiencing serious trouble or suffering personal anguish, and they go out of their way to comfort or find help. Dogs have even called 911 on the speed-dial of the telephone to save their owners!

In Ghana, recently, a two week old baby was saved by a dog who had wandered from his family’s home and gone astray. The dog came across the abandoned newborn under a bridge, and stayed with the distressed and ill child overnight, curling it’s body around it to cuddle it and keep it warm.

When the dog was found the next day, the child was rescued! What an amazing example of how the Lord works in mysterious ways. Amen!
