Love is blind.
This story is being brought to you courtesy of the good folks over at the Jubilee Project. This non-profit organization has been putting together a series of short films that are designed to showcase unconditional love.
These films are created to fulfill a very important objective: to inspire positive actions in others and offer the necessary support for philanthropic works.
This particular story is a harrowing one. A married couple is shocked to learn that they are going to be saddled with an impending disability. This husband and wife are left to grapple with the fact that the wife is going blind. We cannot being to wrap our minds around the mental anguish that they both must have been feeling at that moment.
The message at the center of this video is sure to touch hearts everywhere. This is the sort of devotion that we all wish we could find in our own relationships.
It is sure to resonate with anyone who has ever had to tackle a crisis within their relationships as well. The manner in which we handle these types of concerns is the true measure of who we are as people.
We cannot turn tail and run as soon as things get hard, not when the people that we love are involved. When these pressure-packed situations place added tension on a relationship, it is up to all of us to do the right thing. Relationships are not based on the things that we do when everything is going well. That is simply not how our love is determined. It is determined by the things that we do when love is not enough.
As the video states, “true love is more than a feeling, it’s an action.” Until you are forced to go through something this traumatic with your partner, it is hard to know the true meaning of this quote. This couple serves as the living embodiment of this statement.
We must warn you: This is quite the emotional watch. It’s one of the most uplifting stories that we have seen in a very long time and we urge you to share it with all of your friends and family as soon as possible.
Let this couple serve as your inspiration to love your partner to the fullest, each and every day….no matter what. It is a message that we are going to be heeding as well!SKM: below-content placeholder
