All Glory Be to God!

Listen to an excerpt from Paris Reidhead’s famous sermon “Ten Shekels and a Shirt” in which he denounces the creeping influence of Humanism on Christianity. He rails against those who come to the cross because they expect to be rewarded with all the joys of the world, as if we can bargain with God. We should go to the cross because God deserves to be glorified: “May the lamb that was slain, receive the reward of his suffering!”
