After turning 50, Tori felt dragged down and tired of her heavy, long hair. That’s why she sought out Chris. Christopher Hopkins, AKA, The Makeover Guy, is a professional stylist with a myriad of other talents. His YouTube channel has skyrocketed in popularity, and it’s easy to see why. He’s charming, honest, and uplifting. You can tell he wants to make his clients feel confident in their own skin, and Tori is no different.

She explains that she’s an artist who has always feared criticism and judgment from others. With her 50th birthday come and gone, Tori is ready to shake off the shackles of other people’s expectations and be free! She tells us, “The safer option is to stay small. And I think too many women stay small. This is me putting myself out there… What I would love is to have freedom. Freedom of movement.”

I absolutely love seeing Tori take this brave step into a new style. So often, we hide behind our long hair, using it as a safety blanket of sorts. It’s incredible to see Tori’s transformation and to notice how she’s not hiding anymore. She’s confident and bright and has the best smile! That’s my favorite part about these makeovers. Sure, the haircut and makeup are nice, but it’s that inner strength and beauty that shines through when these women feel better about their appearance.
