Meeting, Dating, Marrying – A Relationship Has Bloomed the Same Way For 100s of Years!

Libraries are amazing places and great tools for research and curiosities from yesteryear. Case in point: this collection of stereograph slides from the Boston Public Library. We may look back and think of a golden age, but when you look at the steps to courtship and marriage, it doesn’t seem that different. All the steps are there, from awkward first date to kids embarrassingly protesting protective and concerned parents all the way to the bliss of unexciting everyday life in marriage.

We think our favorite part (click through to the end!) is how big the wedding is made versus the relationship day-to-day. Seems totally normal.
