#3 Flat-lined Richard Cole Converses with God

Richard Cole always believed that there was God, and Jesus existed, sure, but he never really felt called or compelled to be in a relationship with him. When he suffered an aneurysm en route to a classic car event, Richard was rushed to the hospital where he was diagnosed and put under for emergency surgery. Coming to in the operating room, Richard was unable to speak as he saw doctors and nurses open his chest and remove his heart. Feeling no pain, beams of light entered his peripheral vision. Unable to look upon the face of God, Richard spoke plainly with the Creator of the Universe before being commissioned for his time left on Earth.

To hear all of Richard’s great story of unconditional love, watch him talk about the encounter here.

#2 Neurosurgeon Eben Alexander Meets God in Brain Death

Eben Alexander spent seven days in a coma, his cerebral cortex “shut down” by spreading E. coli bacteria. Even as all scientific evidence of consciousness would suggest him to be both brain dead and unconscious, the trained neurosurgeon experienced a space out of time. As Dr. Alexander recounts in his bestselling book Proof of Heaven, he passed into a realm that seemed physical, grounding it in the real world, yet profoundly spiritual. For months after his experience, Dr. Alexander tried to develop a scientific explanation for his experience, firing of neurons in his brain. It took science to prove to him that people are not just physical bodies, but much more.
