She happened to spot the man in the crowd while performing and couldn’t help but dedicate a song to him.
During a recent Adele show in Las Vegas, the most amazing moment happened. She had an incredible encounter with one of her elderly fans and it is enough to move anyone watching to tears.
In fact, Adele herself could not contain her emotions. When you stop to consider all of the moments that she has probably had like this one over the course of her career, it becomes even more amazing.
According to The Independent, the singer happened to be walking through the crowd during her performance of “When We Were Young” when she saw the man. He was holding up his phone and it had a picture of his wife. He held out his phone to the singer and we never could have expected what ended up happening next. Adele had a special surprise for him later in the show!
When she was in the midst of performing, she took time out of the show to dedicate “Someone Like You” to the elderly man.
We cannot imagine how he must have felt when she began to address him directly. “This is for you sir, whp’s showing me his wife on his phone,” she said. “I’m so sorry for your loss,” she said once the song was complete.
She thought that his wife was no longer with us and as she addressed the audience, she started to cry.
“I wish you could see what I see. Because I know I talk to a few people every night, but then I just see little stories of people happening and there was a man – can you see him holding his phone up? I think that’s his wife on his phone, and I don’t think she’s here and it just really moved me,” she told the audience.
It is awe-inspiring to see the singer be moved like this. Adele must have these types of interactions on a regular basis, so to see her react in such a manner is enough to deeply move us as well. The moment was shared on social media soon after and we were given the chance to check it out.
Once you have had the chance to see it for yourself, you are going to want to grab the tissues. We wish this elderly man all the best. He clearly loves his wife very much.
