This graduating valedictorian, Roy Costner IV, had a real surprise for his audience, the public school district, and the faculty of his high school when he gave his valedictory speech. A round of applause followed after he tore up his pre-written speech and recited The Lord’s Prayer! His act was in protest to the school district’s recent ban on prayers in graduation ceremonies.
