Eighteen Years Ago, John Woody Sr. Saved This Woman’s Life. Now, It’s His Son’s Turn.
On a warm summer day, Aurora, Colorado resident Mande Baum was brought to her knees by a severe asthma attack. Aurora Fire Department’s Engine No. 6 jumped into action, piloted from station house to emergency scene by John Woody. This would be John Woody, Sr., not John Woody, Jr. – in 1995 anyway! Because eighteen years later, on a warm summer day in 2013, John Woody, Jr.’s Engine No. 13 received a distress call from Mande’s husband for the same emergency: a severe asthma attack. And there, one John Woody connected with the same woman that his father had rescued eighteen years before. See this story of family, rescue and connection in the clip below!
