Things You Won’t Regret Doing In Your 20s

You may be considered an adult at 18, but in your twenties you really figure out what that means; and what it doesn’t. Whether you are a twenty-something or know a twenty-something, this list is worth a read!

Going on adventures, big and small. It’s all about perspective

Traveling is always at the top of any “must do” list, so I thought I’d give it some space here, with a twist. Here’s the thing though, adventures don’t have to cost thousands of dollars, or take place on the other side of the world.

Go to the park, take a hike, go star gazing, try a new restaurant, join a club, join a sports team, go get lost in the nearest big city. The point is to get outside of your comfort zone, try new things. Obviously if you can afford a ticket to Greece, you should do that thing. But if you can’t… adventure is much closer than you think.

Figuring out what you want, and unapologetically going after it.

The first two years of my twenties was spent trying to figure out who I was and what I was passionate about. The second two were spent half heartedly, and apologetically taking baby steps towards achieving those goals. I’m fast approaching the half way mark on my twenties, and I no longer have any qualms about telling people that I’m a writer, and I plan on writing for a living. There weren’t any jobs where I was at, so I moved to Seattle. Unapologetically. And you know what? I feel great. Here’s the thing: no one else has to live with your decisions, only you. And while it is good to keep other in mind, because your decisions might effect them to a degree, you are the one who has to live with your life, the way you built it. So go for gold!
