Leaven heaven to be found in the form of a servant, the man washed his disciples feet, carried the cross, hung out with tax collectors and prostitutes. One megapastor thinks he’s a role model we don’t really follow.
In his letter to the Philippians, Paul writes of Jesus emptying himself by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient. It’s familiar scripture, and we all really love this about Jesus: that he humble himself, that he came to serve and save.
