Make The Most Of This Christmas By Discipling Your Children

There is a tremendous opportunity to focus your family and your neighbors on Jesus during the month of December

8. Spend lots of time together and avoid family-dividing distractions.

Christmas time can be the busiest time of the year and can steal your family time if you allow it to encroach on your time together. Instead, take a break from activities that divide your family. Turn the cell phones off. Stay off the computer. Enjoy the company of one another free from the distractions of technology. Avoid the busyness of things that are not as important as being with your family. Play board games and other activities that allow you to interact. If you are going to be busy at least be busy together!

7. Reach out and minister to others.

Go Christmas Caroling in a senior citizens community. Share some time with the residents. Sing Christmas hymns. Read the Christmas story out of Luke chapter 2. Pray for the residents. Hand out tracts with a Christmas gospel message. You can do the same at a children’s home, or homeless ministry.
