By all accounts, David Good’s mom seemed perfectly normal, but a trip to the Amazon saw Yaruma Good remain in the jungle. Why?
A wise son makes a glad father, but a foolish man despises his mother. Proverbs 15:20
By all accounts, David Good’s mom seemed perfectly normal. In New Jersey, she took the kids to the mall, the beach, sat on pool decks and braved the northeast winters. But one day, on a trip to the Amazon, she decided to stay with the local primitive tribe. See, that tribe was her own.
Yaruma Good grew up on the Orinoco River among the Yanomami people. She just wanted to stay home. David, for his part, felt abandoned. Until with a work up of courage and hope he flew to Venezuela after 15 years of resentment. Nothing could break the bond between mother and son.
