As a heroin addict with a prison stint under his belt, Jesse Dalla Riva’s life had hit rock bottom. He was homeless, suicidal and still in the grip of addiction when a supportive friend sent him to the Phoenix Rescue Mission. At the mission, the words of a pastor set him on the path to redemption. He started reading the Bible and began rebuilding his life in earnest. After winning a $100,000 scholarship for the homeless, he now goes to college and is finally turning his life around.
