Relief for Crying Children

After officers arrested a woman on suspicion of DUI, her two terrified children in the back seat didn’t know what to do. They told officers they hadn’t eaten food for hours, and the daughter said she just had a birthday without presents because her dad’s in jail and mom doesn’t have any money. The two heartbroken Oklahoma City cops took the two kids to McDonald’s for happy meals, and then went to Wal-Mart to buy birthday presents so the kids could have a fun night out despite their circumstances.

Duck Crossing

In Eau Claire, Wisconsin, a police officer stopped traffic so a mama duck and her ducklings could cross a busy street safely. Even the animal kingdom benefits from someone’s kindheartedness.
