Thessalonians 5:16-18: In Everything Give Thanks
The truest happiness in life comes from being in God’s presence, and embracing the here and now. Happiness based on material possessions is only an illusion that will dissolve as soon as the bills arrive. The Bible reminds us to seek a meaningful relationship with God and trust him to take care of our needs. Individuals who forget this simple lesson are seldom truly satisfied because they think that getting more things equals getting more happiness. Sadly, when gazing wistfully at those expensive new “things” we want, we miss the joy our blessings should bring.
Celebrate your many blessings here and now because God made this a day for rejoicing.
