Indianapolis store clerk Angela Montez faced the unthinkable: a young man, desperate and scared, pointing a gun in her face. The heroic Montez began praying to God and speaking with the young robber, Gregory Smith. Not only did Smith open up to Montez about his life, his family, and his struggles, he got down on his knees with her and prayed to God for 10 minutes. Then he gave her the only bullet from his gun. In an interview from jail, Smith said, “It had to be God working through her because she just talked to me like a mother or a grandmother to her child, and she made me feel comfortable.” Montez also believes that the Lord was working through her that day.
