Biblical New Year’s Resolutions

Forget about shedding pounds or reading through Oprah’s book list – true change and lasting happiness comes from one place alone: God.

Be In God’s Word Daily

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be competent, equipped for every good work. 2 Timothy 3:16-17

This is so important! Taking intentional time out of your day to read and study scripture is essential to the Christian life. I don’t just mean reading “the verse of the day” on your Bible app, or leafing through to whatever passage is comfortable to you, I mean really getting your hands dirty, and confronting scripture. You may come across genealogies – don’t skip them. You may encounter some tough theology – don’t pass it over. Resolve to be challenged by God’s Word this year. Don’t know where to begin? Here is a great reading plan for reading the Bible in a year, courtesy of eBible.com.
