A Prayer for Difficult Times

Lord, Without You I Am Lost 

Lord, without you I am a lost and graceless thing.  
But if I am with you, following you, 
observing your commandments in all things, 
you fill me up with your love and your grace,
you mold me, like Adam, from formless clay
into your beloved child.  
This alone is what I want.
Too give myself to you so completely;
to fall so deeply into your love, as 
to lose all that is false in me 
and to find all that is true in you.
I am nothing without you.
You are All in All, 
the Everlasting, 
the Ground of Being 
outside of whom there is nothing.
Breathe your Spirit 
into this poor earthen vessel, Lord,
bring me alive in you alone.
