8 Things I’ve Learned Since High School

Whether you look back on your teenage years fondly or with contempt, one thing is certainly true; the biggest adventures are yet to come. It’s been 7 years since my high school graduation, and I’ve learned a few things along the way…

4. Life just happens; learn to adjust

Life is too short to be bitter, have regrets, or to live any way other than thankful for the life we are given. Sure, it may have disappointments, but it also is full of unexpected triumphs! Learning to roll with the punches and not staying knocked down for too long is a huge part of growing up.

5. You’ll never know how good things are till later

As a kid, you long for the independence of being an adult, and as an adult you are barely able to function under all that responsibility that comes with your independence, and you long for the simpler times of being a kid. So it is with every stage of life. We are all too busy looking forward to what is ahead to enjoy what good is coming out of this season of life. So take time now to be joyful. Seriously, what are you thankful for in this moment?
