Todd Cavanaugh wasn’t really looking for a wife. As the executive director of Brothers And Sisters In Christ, he was only coming to SUNY Delhi to assist a resident director in getting a Bible study off the ground for a campus with almost no Christian groups. But Elisabeth Baldanza wasn’t just anyone: she was 2007’s Miss New York, and Todd was smitten. Shane and Mikaela had been noticing each other since they were teenagers. He kept catching her eye at church, but it was he who asked friends to put in a good word and bump up his chances. Little did he know that a brief meeting for coffee would turn into a four-hour conversation that he didn’t want to end. One year later, trying to make their anniversary special, Shane recreated their first date, but with a unique twist: he set up an entire Starbucks cafe in the middle of the woods.
