Ways To Grow In Your Walk With Christ

We are command to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord, Jesus Christ (2 Pet 3:18). Here are 20 ways that you can grow closer to God in your Christian walk.

3. The Offering Of Thanksgiving

Believe it or not, you can give something to God that is of value but costs you nothing… it is the offering of praise. This was the only freewill offering mentioned in the Bible (Lev 7:11). It was sometimes called the peace offering and so why shouldn’t we give Him thanks since we who are His now have peace with God through Christ (Rom 5:1)? Give the sacrifice of thanksgiving to God for this is well pleasing to Him and so “let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God” (Heb 13:15) for “such sacrifices are pleasing to God” (Heb 13:16b).
