We see Alzheimer’s affect so many lives, including my own via my godmother, but for some, the struggle and pain is a deep opportunity for moments of pure joy like this mother recognizing her daughter. Moments of recognition, and of true happiness. That’s why “Then She Smiled” was written – these breakthrough moments of clarity are where amid the hurt, we find comfort.
