The Trumpet Shall Sound

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. – Romans 1:16

When the trumpet sounds we shall be changed. The dead shall rise incorruptible. This is from Handel’s Messiah, another beautiful Easter meditation on the great Easter events of our salvation, the Death and Resurrection of Our Lord, Jesus, the Christ. For this he died and rose again, that we too would rise with him, that when the trumpet sounds on the Last Day, we shall be changed.
