Superchick’s Compassion Movement

Melissa from the band Superchick takes us on a tour of the work God is doing in Uganda.

If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. – 1 John 3:17-18

Watch as Melissa Brock, from the Christian pop bands Superchick and Rosebud, visits Uganda to highlight the plight of the people. Melissa also highlights the wonderful work that Compassion International, a global Christian charity, is doing in Uganda to help raise the people out of poverty. While there, Melissa is able to meet Janet, a child that she sponsors though Compassion International.

As Melissa says in the video and we read in the verse above, we Christians can not allow ourselves to ignore the plight of those who are so much less fortunate than us. There is so much need around the world that, if we Christian’s put our minds and our resources towards, could be eliminated. Visit Compassion International’s website and consider the impact you could make.
