With a Turn into the Advent Season, Sing of the Journey to Christmas with Soujourn: “Amen, Amen”

For some reason, the last few years have seen Thanksgiving end abruptly at six PM with an immediate turn into the madness of Black Friday. For some reason, this is how we start the “Christmas season,” or the “holidays.”

But it’s really Advent, a season when we reflect, and prepare for the coming of Jesus on Christmas. Sure, crank up the joy and fun that all your Christmas favorites have, but today, we’re gonna reflect with Sojourn music’s amazing “Amen, Amen.”

Throw it on repeat, and sing along once you get the melody (lyrics below!).

[content-ad]

Let every creature rise and bring

Their grateful praises to our King

Angels descend with songs again

And earth repeats a loud “Amen”

Amen, Amen

Amen, Amen

I found my life

I found my life in Him

Amen, Amen

Peace like a river from His throne

Will flow to nations yet unknown

His Word a light where all hope is dim

And all tribes unite to cry “Amen”

And in this Child we’ll find our rest

And all the meek and lowly blessed

An infant tongue could sing the hymn

Of Hallelujah and Amen
