We buy, we wear, we discard, we buy again. That’s how we use shoes, for the most part. But in poor countries around the world, that is not a luxury many can afford. So children often have shoes that are too small or have been cut open to allow their feet to push through the front. Or they have no shoes at all, leaving them more vulnerable to infections due to dirty soil and water.
