“Eat and sleep and you will live a long time.” Misao told Britain’s Daily Telegraph.

At 116, Okawa is the verified oldest Japanese person ever, the oldest person born in Asia, and the fifth oldest verified person ever. She is the last living Japanese person to have been born in the 1800s.

Farmer Tom

“That’s the trick is keep doing new things and keep moving because you’ll have plenty of chance to rest when you’re dead.” – Farmer Tom

Farmer Tom had a fifty year gap in his farming career. When he was young, he was very involved in agriculture and farming, but he waited until his was 65 to start his life over and become the farmer he always wanted to be.

Gertrude Weaver

At 116, Gertrude Weaver is the oldest living American. According to her interview with Time, the key to a long life is, “Kindness. Treat people right and be nice to other people the way you want them to be nice to you.”
