Monty Williams Gives An Incredible, Faith-Fueled Speech At Wife’s Funeral

Don’t miss this amazing proclamation of trust in God, and faith that all things work for the good of those who love him.

In case you haven’t heard – Oklahoma City assistant coach, Monty Williams, gave an incredible, faith-fueled speech at his wife’s funeral. Ingrid Williams was killed in a head on collision, leaving behind her husband and five children. Anyone would be upset. Anyone would be angry, and in despair, overwhelmed and frustrated. It takes a true man of God to get up and say what Monty Williams said, knowing that his wife’s funeral would be a very public event.

“We have a plaque in my house that says, ‘As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord,’ and how can we serve the Lord without forgiveness? …Everyone is praying for my family and I, which is good. But there were two people involved in this accident, and we need to pray for the other family as well. I harbor no ill will towards them.”

He ends this powerful testimony by urging everyone to not forget what is important: What Christ did on the cross. “I didn’t lose my wife. When you lose something, it means you can’t find it. I know exactly where my wife is.”
