Miracle Babies – Born weighing 9 oz., Now Thriving!

Madeline Mann was born weighing only 9.9 ounces in 1989! Today she is an honors student studying psychology.

A new medical report from a doctor that resuscitated two of the tiniest miracles ever born was released today. Madeline Mann was born weighing only 9.9 ounces in 1989! Today she is an honors student studying psychology. And Rumaisa Rahman was born weighing just 9.2 ounces. She is now a thriving 7-year-old.

This new study gives hope to those of us who believe all life is sacred and that doctors should do everything in their power to save the lives of babies born before they are technically “viable”. We’re excited to learn that in Japan the age of viability has been moved from 25 weeks to 22 weeks and that doctors in the United States are starting to follow that benchmark as well. This means that rather than letting a premature baby die doctors will attempt to save a baby whose gestational age in only 22 weeks. Praise God for these babies and praise Him for the miracles He has given us in modern medical science!
