This Beautiful Song Had Me In Tears!

What an incredible reminder of truth!

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. – Psalm 139:13–14

How would your life look if you truly believed those words – I am fearfully and wonderfully made? It’s a simple truth, one that we are told time and time again in different ways. God fashioned and made use with his hands (Job 10:8), we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 2:10), God knew us before he even formed us in the womb (Jeremiah 1:5), and the list goes on and on.

Why, then, is it so easy to forget who we are in Christ? We’re surrounded by the media telling us what we should look like and how we’re not measuring up to the “ideal” person. We’re bombarded with society’s definition of success and worth. Our days are filled trying to keep up with the proverbial Jones’, and subsequently, we feel like we’re always falling short.

If this sounds familiar, take a few minutes to relax and listen to this truly beautiful song by Lauren Daigle. Follow along with the lyrics below:

I keep fighting voices in my mind that say I’m not enough

Every single lie that tells me I will never measure up

Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low?

Remind me once again just who I am, because I need to know, ooh oh

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing

You say I am strong when I think I am weak

And You say I am held when I am falling short

And when I don’t belong, oh, You say I am Yours

And I believe, oh, I believe

What You say of me

I believe

The only thing that matters now is everything You think of me

In You I find my worth, in You I find my identity, ooh oh

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing

You say I am strong when I think I am weak

And You say I am held when I am falling short

When I don’t belong, oh, You say I am Yours

And I believe, oh, I believe

What You say of me

Oh, I believe

Taking all I have and now I’m layin’ it at Your feet

You’ll have every failure God, You’ll have every victory, ooh oh

You say I am loved when I can’t feel a thing

You say I am strong when I think I am weak

You say I am held when I am falling short

When I don’t belong, oh, You say I am Yours

And I believe, oh, I believe

What You say of me

I believe

Oh, I believe, yes, I believe

What You say of me

I believe
