It’s the classic story of high school sweethearts: Larry was the track and football star, and Kelcie was his biggest fan. Larry’s dedication didn’t end at sports, but extended to his community, as he spent summers as a smokejumper fighting forest fires in eastern Oregon. With a trip to DisneyLand planned for the whole family, Larry showed Kelcie’s sister McKenzie a ring meant for his best friend. And it all changed when Larry was hit by a drunk driver.
