The Baby Box – A Pastor’s Creative Solution To This Heartbreaking Problem

In Seoul, South Korea, hundreds of babies are abandoned on the streets every year. As these unwanted infants were left to die, Pastor Lee Jong-rak knew the calling of the Christian to love the orphans and the widows. For women in Korea, having babies out of wedlock can be a public shame to families, and even in marriage, the hypercompetitive job market can make timing everything. So what did Pastor Lee do? He built the Baby Box. The anonymous drop box allows mothers facing difficult to give their children a home, where Pastor Lee and his staff care for the children and help seek adoption.
