Jason Brown’s Life Work Started on the Football Field, And Moved to a Different One…

When you make a few million dollars per year playing a game you’ve loved since childhood, I’d wager life seems to be on the upswing. But for Jason Brown, it wasn’t where he wanted to be, or where he was supposed to be. At age 29, in the middle of a 5-year, 37-million-dollar contract, he walked away from football to pursue farming in rural North Carolina – which he had never practiced nor studied, save by watching a few YouTube videos. Why? To live out his faith by growing food to donate to area food banks and shelters.
