Over twenty years ago, Jim Hughes told his college counselor that he wanted to be a teacher. She said that was a great goal asked him what blind school he had in mind. See, Jim has been blind himself since the age of three due to hereditary glaucoma. But he explained to the counselor, no, he wanted to teach at a public high school. Today, if you ask his students, he’s the best history teacher they could have asked for, and overcoming his disability is worth all the respect in the world. Check it out in the clip below!
