May I One Day Face Death With This Kind of Joy, Conviction and Selflessness. Thank You, Frank.

Asked why he faced his death so many smiles, so much hope, he answered: ‘Oh, I know where I’m going. Not afraid to die.’ Amen, Frank.

Frank Henderson of Shoreline, Washington (literally 5 miles from my front door!), didn’t have much time left to live. Diagnosed with terminal cancer, he never retreated to mourn, but celebrated Christmas, gave away his daughter and continued in joy the joy he had given so many. Asked why he faced his death so many smiles, so much hope, he answered:

“Oh, I know where I’m going. Not afraid to die…God didn’t do this to me, and He’s not punishing me or anything. It’s just a fact. And He wants people to be examples, of loving other people and then letting them share. “

Amen, Frank, amen.
