For 25 years, Gloria Campos of WFAA in Dallas has sought to find neglected and abused children homes. Studies show that as kids grow older, it becomes more and more difficult for them to find forever homes. So in partnership with Wednesday’s Child, Campos helps foster children find homes by profiling a new kid every week. Ke’onte Cook was one such child. At age eight, the precocious kid was adopted thanks to one of Campos’ reports – but the new family arrangement didn’t work out, and Ke’onte was sent back into foster care. Two years later, the ten-year-old Ke’onte was again profiled by Campos, and again adopted – this time for good. If anyone is thankful in this scenario, it’s actually Gloria Campos herself. See her reunite with with one of her most beloved success stories. They both couldn’t be happier.
