On December 14th, 2012, Adam Lanza walked into Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. He never walked out, and neither did twenty precious children and six staff members who tried to protect them. One of those precious young lives belonged to Emilie Parker. The exuberant blonde six-year-old was by all accounts selfless and engaged. Her mother Alissa and father Robbie faced a year of astounding grief that only brought an awareness of God’s overwhelming love.
