A College Student And A Pastor Answer Each Other’s Prayers

The minister that you are about to meet was having a very hard time one day. He was experiencing a crisis of faith but the most amazing thing happened while he was at his day job.

A note came floating down from the heavens. Minister Jerome Jones of the Springfield Baptist Church in Monticello, Georgia was questioning his faith and he did not tell anyone about the issues that he was experiencing.

“I was getting ready to stop coming to church,” Jones explains. “I didn’t see God doing anything for me.” The note appeared to him while he was working his day job with a local power company. It was attached to three balloons and it touched him deeply. The note read as follows: “God, help me go to college… please help me get everything I need to leave Wednesday. – Mykehia Curry”

The young woman was about to start her freshman year at Albany State University in Albany, Georgia. Since no one else in her family had even attended college before, she was very worried. When Jones received the note, all he had was $125 to his name. He did not hesitate to give it all to this college-bound student.

In addition to providing her with a comforter and a mini-fridge, he also provided her with some valuable inspiration when she needed it most. “It encourages me to keep going knowing that prayers are answered,” she said in the video below. Jerome was also given a major boost, which allowed him to overcome the crisis of faith that he was experiencing.

In many instances, the best way to overcome these moments of doubt is by answering the prayers of someone else. Even though he was in a down period himself, Jerome did not think twice about helping out this young woman. It just goes to show that we can find inspiration anywhere. By helping others, we are actually helping ourselves as well.

It’s hard to see it that way when you are feeling down and starting to question things. That’s the crisis that Jones was able to sidestep but he never could have done it without continuing to believe in God.
