New York Bus Driver Pulls Jumper To Safety

Darnell Barton sees lots of things on his bus route, but nothing prepared him for October 18. With a bus full of high school students, Darnell pulled over to talk a lone suicidal woman to safety.

Darnell Barton sees lots of things on his bus route, but nothing prepared him for October 18. Driving on a bridge over a high-traffic expressway, a lone woman stood on a narrow ledge, on the wrong side of the guard rail, looking down at the rushing cars below. As pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists just passed, the humble man recalled being raised in a church that told him to be ready in season and out, and the hope he had. With a bus full of high school students, Darnell pulled over and talked the woman to safety. ABC News has the moving story in the video below!
