Leonard Knight spent almost 30 years building the colorful mountain in the Imperial Valley desert, just outside of Niland, California. Built out donated paint, Knight worked on the mountain all day, every day. He even slept at the mountain’s base in the back of a pick-up truck, with no electricity or running water. People who have visited Salvation Mountain describes it as bursts of color that brings hope, love and joy in physical form, even being in a desert. In February 2014, he sadly passed away, but left behind masterpiece for us to enjoy. See how God used him to spread color and love!
