Armless Guitarist Proclaims God’s Grace in His Weakness

With a near perfect sense of pitch, George Dennehy has been playing cello since he was eight years old. But there’s something different about George’s musical accomplishments.

Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. – 2 Corinthians 12:8-9

George Dennehy has been playing cello since he was eight years old. With a near perfect sense of pitch, he played Howard Shore’s theme music from The Lord of the Rings on the piano after having simply watched the movie a few hours earlier. But there’s something different about George’s musical accomplishments: he was born without arms. Incapable of raising a son in their home culture, George’s Romanian parents gave him up for adoption to Christian parents in Virginia. His strong faith and sense of purpose has led him to national acclaim in a short amount of time. See George’s talent, and hear about how he sees God’s hand, in the video below.
