No matter how rare, Trisomy 18 affects many in our world. Little Alexandria’s prognosis was dire. There was a rare chance she would make it to delivery, even less of a chance she’d make it through the delivery, and a very remote chance of her living long after birth. But she beat all the odds.

Just recently, we saw the wonderful blessing of Zion Blick as he survived Trisomy 18. But no matter how uncommon Edward’s Syndrome is, it affects so many in our world. Such is the case of little Alexandria. Doug and Kim found out she was pregnant with their fifth child, but at her 20-week ultrasound they were told there were complications with their baby girl. Little Alexandria’s prognosis was dire. There was a rare chance she would make it to delivery, even less of a chance she’d make it through the delivery, and a very remote chance of her living long after birth. She beat all the odds though – Alexandria Kimberly was born on December 16th, 2011 at 4:26pm weighing 4lbs 12oz, slightly less then a bag of sugar but just as sweet. For 8 weeks, she was a joy to all. Check out her journey in the clip below!
