See how this doctor gave up a life of wealth and influence to dedicate his life to those with nothing!
Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. – James 1:27
Tony Lazzara is truly a saint. The American doctor gave up a tenured position at Emory University where he supervised the high-tech children’s wards at two of the university’s hospitals. With nothing but a handful of medical supplies and no knowledge of the Spanish language, he moved to Lima, Peru to help those in need. Dr. Lazzara has dedicated his life to the terribly impoverished Peruvian children in Lima.
