But that can be a challenge for kids, where pressure to fit in and like the popular things can turn into cruelty. So what to do? Let’s ask Wil Wheaton, who spent seven years being the butt of several jokes and the frustration of many fans playing Wesley Crusher on Star Trek: The Next Generation – and as you might guess, growing up Trekkie bodes a pretty nerdy future.
