Valentine’s Day On A Budget

Whether you’re living on a budget, a cynic, a cynic living on a budget, or just looking for some fun new ideas this Valentine’s Day, this list is for you.

Pick Out Gifts For Each Other From The Dollar Store

I love this idea. It’s all about making the most of what you’ve got; and sometimes all you’ve got is a buck. My husband and I did this for our first Christmas together, after spending entirely too much money fixing our car. He got me this hideous pink floral print stuffed cat for 75 cents that I still cherish to this day. The point is to create fun memories together, and enjoy each other’s company!

Recreate Your First Date

You don’t have to fly across the country, or attend a high school sporting event to recreate your authentic first date. Just taking time to think through some of the little details, like what meal you had, or what color of shirt you were wearing. You may even have a picture from the date that you could bring out! Letting your loved one know that you remember and cherish that first official date together, (and have loved every single one since) is such a sweet gesture. You can discuss how far you two have come, and what you still hope to accomplish together.
