This Texas Woman Has Been Sending and Receiving the Same Valentine’s Card for 60 Years. That’s Decades of Love.

On the odd-numbered years, Mary Woodward of Huntsville, Texas sends out a single Valentine’s card. On the even-numbered years, she receives one. And it’s been this way for 60 years.

The exact same card was sent to friends in Saline, Michigan, as a prank after the Woodwards moved to Texas. A year later, the Carpenters sent it back – postmarked from the Vatican. The biennial exchange has been happening ever since, across a thousand miles, keeping two old friends in touch.
