Jefferson Bethke is known for sometimes confrontational or controversial spoken word poetry. As he’s matured in his faith, however, he’s become more open and less poetic. Why might this be? To be human, Bethke says, is to be vulnerable – to open yourself up to hurt, so that you can truly give of yourself.
