So many things happen in your twenties, from moving out of your parent’s house, doing your own laundry, paying your own bills, to graduation, your first “big kid” job, first serious relationship, and possibly your first real heartache. You may be considered an adult at 18, but in your twenties you really figure out what that means; and what it doesn’t. As a twenty-something myself, I’m still figuring it all out. But here are a few things I’ve figured out along the way. Whether you are a twenty-something or know a twenty-something, this list is worth a read!

Taking care of the things you own.

It can be easy to take things for granted, be it a car, a computer, furniture, or even just a pair of shoes, but respecting your things is a huge marker of growing up. Some things are easy to take care of, but others require time, effort, and research. When was the last time you changed the oil in your car? Or rotated the tires? Even just keeping your things clean can add years of use!
